Newsletter
The ACMR Newsletter is the official publication of ACMR. It includes original research articles, bibliographies, review essays, translations, and book reviews. It also provides information on recent publications on Chinese music and on recently completed Ph.D. dissertations and M.A. theses, announcements of upcoming conferences, reports on past scholarly meetings and major performances of Chinese music, news of institutions and individuals, news of scholarly and performing activities from the PRC, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and overseas Chinese communities, and views and opinions on matters relevant to ACMR.
History
The ACMR publications began in 1987 with the ACMR Newsletter, volumes 1-7, 1987-1994. In 1995, the Association switched format and began publishing the ACMR Reports (ISSN: 1071-0639), volumes 8-13, 1995-2000. There was a publication hiatus from 2001 to 2007. The ACMR Newsletter resumed publication in May 2008 and is issued twice a year.

All issues of the ACMR Newsletter, Reports, and Bibliography are available on eVols, the University of Hawaii at Manoa Library open-access digital repository.
